A Florida woman was arrested night after allegedly grabbing her estranged husband’s testicles and threatening to shoot him.
Lake County sheriff’s deputies had been looking for the woman, 48-year-old Nadine Roper Members, since Feb. 20 when they had been dispatched to the Holiday RV Park on County Road 33 in Leesburg regarding an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon as well as a domestic battery. When the deputies made contact with the man they were told that he and Members were going through a divorce. He said that day she had come to his residence and began to attack him. She grabbed his arms and pulled him close to her and then she grabbed his testicles. The man was able to push her away, but she was able to grab a .40-caliber Smith & Wesson pistol and threatened to kill him. When she discovered the weapon was unloaded she grabbed a magazine and started to load the gun. The man ran from the residence while calling the police, according to the affidavit of probable cause. She fled the scene.
A warrant was issued and Members was taken into custody at the Sumter County Jail and was transported to the Lake County Jail where bond was set at $3,000.
