A Florida woman was arrested after allegedly throwing a molotov cocktail through the window of her ex-boyfriend’s home.
22-year-old Gaelle Simeus of Fort Myers was booked into the Lee County Jail on several felony charges, including arson, property damage, and a weapon offense.
Witness Madochee Derilus was inside the Lehigh Acres home when Simeus allegedly threw the Molotov cocktail through the window of the residence.
Derilus told authorities he heard a window shatter inside the home and saw a woman walking from the side of the house.
The boy said the woman, later identified as Simeus, stared him down before fleeing the scene in a car.
Home security footage captured Simeus approaching the home with a rock in one hand and a bottle in the other.
Simeus is the ex-girlfriend of the boy’s older brother, who police believe was the intended target of bombing.
No one was injured during the incident.
The make-shift bomb caused damage to a mattress in one of the bedrooms of the home, costing between $15,000-$20,000 worth of damage.
