Florida Woman Arrested After Fatally Stabbing Her Husband’s Dog Because She Was Angry With Him

A Florida woman was arrested on a felony animal cruelty charge after fatally stabbing her husband’s dog, Jake, because she was angry with her spouse, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said.

Sherry Ann White, 51, “literally woke her husband up and said ‘I stabbed your dog because I was mad at you,’” Sheriff Wayne Ivey said in a video filmed outside the Brevard County Jail on just before he walked her into the facility.

The sheriff brandished a graphic photo of the animal and shook it toward the camera in anger.

He said White stabbed the dog at least nine times.

Ivey said people who hurt animals the way White did deserve to spend the rest of their lives in jail.

She’s behind bars on a $2,000 bond but Sheriff Wayne Ivey hopes to change that.

Sheriff Ivey says he has a zero-tolerance policy for animal abuse in Brevard County.
