A Florida woman was arrested for allegedly striking a child in the head with her open hand and resisting arrest in Okaloosa County.
Hannah Jagers, 19, is charged with battery, child neglect, and resisting arrest.
According to an arrest report, Jagers struck a child in the head with her open hand and then retreated into her residence when confronted by deputies.
Jagers locked herself in a bathroom to barricade herself from deputies, according to an arrest report.
Before deputies gained entry to the bathroom, Jagers resisted deputies’ attempts to detain her, according to an arrest report.
Before being booked into Okaloosa County Jail, Jagers told deputies in an arrest report that she didn’t punch the child and that she pushed her.
Jagers was booked into Okaloosa County Jail and is held on $3,000 bond.
