A Florida woman who admitted drinking beer and shots was arrested in a church parking lot.
Cherish Andrews, 25, was parked “crossways” in the parking lot of the Lisbon Church of God on Goose Prairie Road, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
When a deputy approached her vehicle, Andrews had trouble finding the switch to roll down the window. When she opened the door, the deputies noted her bloodshot eyes and slurred words. Andrews had a hard time answering the deputy’s questions and admitted to drinking three beers and two shots of liquor.
Andrews’ attempts to perform standard field sobriety exercises revealed she was impaired. She provided breath samples that registered .233 and .229 blood alcohol content.
Andrews was booked at the Lake County Jail on a charge of driving under the influence. She was released on her own recognizance.
