A Florida woman was arrested after allegedly forcing her way into another woman’s home and attacking her.
Lake County sheriff’s deputies responded to the woman’s residence on Lake Bradley Drive.
She said 26-year-old Tari Lane came to her home accompanied by two men.
One of the men asked the woman to have her boyfriend come out. She said that she walked out to the end of the driveway where Lane grabbed both of her wrists and held her while one of the men identified as “Chad” repeatedly punched her in the face. The victim was starting to pass out when Lane dragged her into the residence where Lane went through the victim’s purse. Lane and the men left the house in a white SUV.
While interviewing the victim and others at the scene, a man said that “Chad” had recently stolen $7,000 from him.
Lane was driving the white SUV later that day when she was pulled over by law enforcement. She refused to speak with deputies.
Lane was arrested on charges of simple battery and home invasion. She was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $13,000 bond
