Florida Woman Arrested For Allegedly Backing Into The Callbox In Front Of Police Deputy

A Florida woman allegedly backed into the callbox at “The Oasis” — a community at 5600 Atlantic Avenue in West Delray Beach— then drove right into the gated community.

Unfortunately for Kely Alves de Oliveira, a PBSO Deputy was sitting right there and allegedly watched the entire event.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office DUI Investigator wrote this:

“Alves De Oliveira had glassy and bloodshot eyes. Her speech was slurred and she was unsteady on her feet.
An obvious odor of unknown alcoholic beverage was coming from her mouth.”

“Post Miranda, Alves De Oliveira admitted being the driver at the time of the crash but she denied hitting the
call box. She said her tire hit the curb. She denied drinking. When confronted about the smell of alcohol
beverage she said that she had been drinking yesterday. After being given the results of the breath test, she
admitted drinking four beers from 5 to 6 PM.”

According to police, Alves De Oliveira provided breath samples of .110 and .112, both above the legal limit of .08.

She was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail and released on her own recognizance.
