Florida Woman Arrested On Grand Theft Auto Charges After Being Accused Of Stealing Car From Dealership She Took For A Test Drive

A Florida woman is facing grand theft auto charges after being accused of stealing a car from a Clearwater dealership.

The woman asked to test drive a 2018 Honda Accord at the Dayton Andrews Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Ram dealership at 2388 Gulf-to-Bay Blvd. The dealership contacted police when the woman failed to return with the car.

Police recovered the car and posted photos of the woman on social media asking for the public’s help to identify her. Despite dying her hair after her photo appeared on social media, tipsters called police identifying Johna Lamont, 43.

Police arrested Lamont Friday night and charged her with grand theft auto and scheming to defraud.
