Florida Woman Arrested After Stabbing Man Who Tried To Break Up Altercation Between Her And Another Man She Tried To Stab

The Tallahassee Police Department arrested a woman in connection to a deadly stabbing.

Tamara Cody, 38, was charged with murder. 

TPD responded to a medical emergency call at 11 p.m. on the 2500 block of Holton Street, according to a TPD press release.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man who was stabbed.

Investigators from the TPD Violent Crimes Unit determined that the stabbing stemmed from an altercation between Cody and “one adult at the residence,” according to the press release.

Police said, Cody, with a knife in her hand, tried to stab a man when a second man tried to break up the altercation.

The man who intervened was stabbed and later died from his wounds, the press release said. The first man was not severely injured.

Cody is being held at the Leon County detention facility without bail.
