A Florida woman was arrested after she was involved in two separate DUI crashes.

The Cape Coral Police Department confirmed Beverly Vance is accused of running from a DUI crash only to get in a second one shortly after.

Officers responded to a call about a reckless driver that drove off from a crash on Chiquita Boulevard and Pine Island Road. Cape Coral police confirmed a witness to the first crash was following the driver.

Police found the car speeding at the intersection of Skyline Boulevard and Trafalgar Parkway, according to CCPD. As the officer was turning around to conduct a traffic stop, the car got into a second crash in the intersection.

Vance was detained by officers, and they said there were signs of impairment. CCPD said she performed poorly on her standardized field sobriety exercises and a controlled substance was also found.

Vance was taken to CCPD for booking, where she fell in her holding cell. After she was medically cleared, she was taken to the Lee County Jail.
