
A Florida woman woman is facing drug charges in Indian River County.
The sheriff’s office said deputies responded to a report of a woman driving erratically.
The first deputies on scene tried to make a traffic stop at the RaceTrac on County Road 512 near I-95, but the woman sped off down CR 512.
The sheriff’s office said deputies used a PIT maneuver to bring the woman’s car to a halt. After some time, she was eventually arrested.
The suspect’s been identified as 37-year-old Samantha Barone of Pompano Beach.
Deputies found a glass pipe with crystal meth in her car. At the jail, deputies found a bag of methamphetamine in her bra, the sheriff’s office said.
Barone faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, fleeing to elude, possessing drug paraphernalia, and resisting arrest without violence.
