A Florida woman who laughed in front of troopers about drunk driving on I-75 was arrested on for DUI.
Ashley Douglas, 28, was found in her car off of I-75 near Tuckers Grade in Charlotte County, according to Florida Highway Patrol. She was behind the wheel and was partially blocking the right lane of I-75.
Troopers found multiple containers of wine on the passenger side floor. FHP said the car and Douglas smelled of alcohol.
When Douglas was asked to get out of the car, troopers said she kept saying she was too intoxicated to drive and began laughing uncontrollably. She also had difficulty walking, was slurring her words, and had bloodshot watery eyes.
She later told troopers she had about two to three packs of miniature wine bottles, and each pack had four bottles, according to FHP.
She was placed under arrest after doing field sobriety exercises. Troopers said her BAC was 0.379.
