Florida Woman, Claiming To Be Uber Eats Driver, Arrested After She Was Caught Trespassing At A Construction Site

A Florida woman wearing a tube top and pajama pants was arrested recently after she was caught trespassing at a construction site at the Lake Diamond North subdivision.

A Marion County sheriff’s lieutenant reported that he saw a white SUV parked on Hickory Course Pass with the back hatch open. He said he saw 35-year-old Erica Jade Toomey with a wooden pallet in her hands dragging it to the rear of her vehicle.

The lieutenant said he activated his emergency lights and Toomey dropped the pallet. When questioned as to what she was doing at the construction site posted with a warning against trespassing, Toomey said she was “just getting some stuff from the dumpster,” the report says.

Due to recent reports of criminal mischief and thefts in the construction area, Toomey was arrested for trespassing on a construction site. She then claimed she was taking things out of the dumpster and was in the area because she’s a driver for Uber Eats, the report states.

Toomey was placed under arrest and transported to the Marion County Jail, where she was charged with trespassing at a posted construction site. She was released on $500 bond.
