66-Year-Old Florida Woman Arrested For Spitting In Fellow Group Home Resident Face Because Victim Allegedly Called Her “Fat”

A 66-year-old Florida woman who lives in a group home was jailed recently after a fellow resident claimed she spit in her face.

The victim said she was in the kitchen cleaning dishes when she saw Brenda Faye Sullivan waving her arms towards another woman. The victim said she was concerned about Sullivan hitting the woman and stepped in-between them.

The victim said Sullivan then spit in her face twice, with the saliva landing  mainly on her right cheek. She also deputies that she didn’t want to pursue charges against Sullivan, a sheriff’s office report states.

The woman involved in the argument with Sullivan said she was in the kitchen washing dishes with the victim. She said Sullivan swung at her and the victim stepped in to keep her from being hit. She also confirmed that Sullivan spit on the victim, the report says.

After being read her rights, Sullivan claimed the victim called her “fat” and that was the reason she spit on her. She was then placed under arrest and transported to the Marion County Jail, where she was charged with battery. She was released on $1,000 bond.
