A Florida woman found herself behind bars recently after allegedly battering her man friend because of something he said about one of her children.
The victim told Marion County sheriff’s deputies that 36-year-old Aeilyn Figueroa Simon became angry and struck him in the face several times with a hair dryer. He showed deputies photos of injuries he said he sustained during the attack, which had happened several days earlier, a sheriff’s office report states.
Deputies then responded to Simon’s residence in the 4700 block of N.E. 32nd Place and after being read her rights, she agreed to speak with them. Simon admitted to hitting the victim with the hair dryer several times because he said something she didn’t like about one her children.
She was then placed under arrest and transported to the Marion County Jail, where she was charged with domestic aggravated battery on a person using a deadly weapon and later released on $1,000 bond.
