Florida Woman Arrested On Child Neglect For Locking Three Children In Bedroom With Feces Spread All Over Walls

A Florida woman was arrested for a child neglect case that resulted in a man’s arrest.

Fayonna Hixon, 23, is charged with three counts of child neglect. She’s being held in Escambia County Jail without bond.

Christain Parson was arrested last week for the same case. He is charged with three counts of child neglect and possession of marijuana.

According to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, deputies responded to the Pensacola apartment on Dec. 30, 2020.

Upon arrival, deputies saw a “young infant” reaching her arm and head out of a broken bedroom window, the report states. No one answered the door, so a deputy climbed through the window.

The three children were locked inside a bedroom by means of a phone charging cable tied around the door handle and connected to an adjacent hallway closet door handle, the report says.

Deputies also found two malnourished dogs inside locked in cages covered in feces, the report adds.

The report states deputies could smell feces and urine inside the apartment, and saw feces spread over the walls of the bedroom.

Deputies contacted animal control and the Department of Children and Families (DCF), who took the dogs and children.

Deputies found mail in the apartment addressed to Parson and Hixon.
