A 26-year-old Florida woman was arrested after she allegedly left a golf ball-sized bruise on a man’s face during a fight that started as an argument at a bar and became physical on the car ride home.
Megan Bosak told a Marion County sheriff’s deputy that while they were in the vehicle, the victim was pushing at her neck and she started to swing at him. She said she punched him several times in the stomach and face with a closed fist, according to the sheriff’s office report.
Bosak said after the victim got out of the vehicle, she locked him out and called 911. The deputy did not observe any injuries on Bosak, the report said.
The victim told the deputy the couple started to argue when they arrived home. She said Bosak started punching him with closed fists and struck him in the face. He said he tried to push her away from him while they were still in the car due to her continually punching him. The victim said he then left the vehicle and also called 911, according to the report.
The deputy observed a golf ball-sized bruise on the left side of the victim’s face that appeared to be new and very swollen. There were also several small scratched on the left side of the victim’s from where his glasses were struck by Bosak, the report said.
Due to the totality of the circumstances, the deputy determined Bosak was the primary aggressor. The victim was the only one with visible physical injuries. Bosak also admitted, after being read her Miranda rights, to battering the victim, according to the report.
Bosak was taken to the Marion County Jail, where she was released on $1,000 bond.
