Homeless Florida Woman Arrested For Trying To Breaking Into Vehicles After Homeowner Recognized Her At McDonald’s

A homeless Florida woman was arrested after she was caught on a NEST camera system trying to break into vehicles on January 15 on 111th Avenue in Naples.

Ashley Cooper, 30, was arrested at a McDonald’s on Tamiami Trail after a homeowner recognized her from her home security video trying to break into vehicles, according to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.

Cooper was caught on camera going up to the homeowner’s locked vehicles and trying to “stealthily” open the doors, deputies said.

Cooper told deputies she did not remember trying to break into the cars because she drank too much alcohol and cough medicine, according to the arrest report.

She was arrested and taken to the Naples Jail Center. Cooper is facing a charge of attempted burglary.
