A Florida woman from Fort White was arrested on the University of Florida campus for making a scene on an RTS bus while intoxicated, according to an arrest report.
UF police responded to the Marston Science Library for calls of a disturbance on a bus, according to the report. The bus driver stated that 55-year-old Denise Prior was waving a stun gun in the air and endangering other passengers.
Prior admitted to having a small stun gun in her possession, according to the report. While speaking with her, officers noticed a strong odor of alcohol.
Officers found an alcoholic beverage while searching her belongings.
In addition, Prior had an active warrant for her arrest out of Columbia County, according to the report. She was arrested and transported to the Alachua County Jail.
Prior remains in custody for disorderly intoxication and violation of her parole. She is currently held without bond.
