A Florida woman was arrested for firing multiple shots in a trailer park near Border Street.
Escambia County’s Sheriff’s Office responded to an armed disturbance.
According to the report, Janiqua Wade, 26, was arrested and charged with four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of deadly missiles, and criminal mischief.
Witnesses saw a truck on Dogwood Drive appear to run someone over. A group of people then jump out of a truck swinging sticks and yelling attempting to start a fight.
The report states that the disagreement had something to do with one of the victims not wanting one of the truck passenger’s son to talk to her daughter.
A woman identified as Janiqua Wade took a gun out of the hands of another suspect.
She then fired gunshots into the air, striking a picture frame within a trailer, and the rear car window of one of the victims.
According to the victims, they were out visiting the park that day when a blue truck pulled up almost running them over. The blue truck was had three a driver and two passengers including Wade.
A video found on a cellular phone shows Wade take a gun from another suspect, and shoot it multiple times. All of the victims identified the shooter as Wade.
Wade’s bond is set at $132,000 with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.
