Florida Woman, Driving Wrong-Way, Finds Herself Behind Bars After Nearly Slamming Head-On Into Oncoming Vehicle

A Florida woman driving the wrong-way found herself behind bars recently after nearly slamming head-on into an oncoming vehicle.

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy stopped a red SUV in the 4900 block of S. Pine Avenue after its driver, later identified as Shareetha Yuronza Pena, allegedly was traveling north in the southbound lanes. Pena was identified by deputies to be “highly intoxicated” after she failed to perform field sobriety exercises. She was then placed under arrest and transported to the Marion County Jail.

Pena was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and possession of marijuana not more than 20 grams. She was released on $2,000 bond and her next court date hasn’t yet been set, jail records show.
