A Florida woman was arrested for attacking a manicurist after she got upset over a nail design.
Kristen Curry, 24, was arrested after the incident happened at Allure Nails off of Tamiami Trail.
She told Collier County deputies that she went to the salon to get her nails done and that she got upset when the employee wasn’t doing them correctly.
The manicurist threatened to call someone and that’s when Curry said she pushed a mirror in front of her, according to Collier County deputies. Curry refused to answer deputies questions after they asked her if she touched the employee or destroyed property.
The nail salon employee told deputies Curry was asking for extravagant designs that she wasn’t able to provide, Collier County deputies said. That’s when she said Curry got aggressive and started destroying items.
The manicurist told deputies that Curry knocked over the plexiglass divider, knocked over and smashed tools on her work desk, and broke a glass bowl filled with candy.
Collier County deputies said the employee told them she was either punched in the head or Curry threw an item at her. She couldn’t remember because of how fast everything happened, according to the sheriff’s office.
The manicurist had a small cut on her head along with some swelling and bruising, Collier County deputies said.
Curry was arrested for battery, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct. She was taken to the Naples Jail Center.
