An agitated Florida woman accused of tossing a bowl of urine at her man friend is behind bars in the Marion County Jail.
Belleview Police officers responded to a residence on S.E. 112th Street Road and when they arrived, the victim claimed he had been “smacked in the face” by 56-year-old Shelia Dawn Smith. He said he was making breakfast in the kitchen when Smith “lost her temper” and threw what he believed was a bowl of urine at him, a police report states.
The victim said the liquid in the bowl didn’t hit him but Smith started throwing things and struck him in the face with an open hand. He said a witness saw the incident and added that law enforcement had been called to the residence the night before because of an altercation, the report says.
Smith claimed that both the victim, who had a red mark on his left check and nose, and the witness “use drugs.” She said the victim had cut off electricity to the kitchen and the “argument started over nothing.” She then said the victim “gets angry because he uses drugs,” the report says.
Smith also claimed the victim threw an item that struck her in the head and then hit her. She said law enforcement had been called the night before because the victim had hit her, the report says.
The witness told officers he didn’t know what the argument was about but when he came downstairs, he saw Smith strike the victim with an open hand. He also told officers that Smith and the victim “argue often.”
Smith was taken into custody and transported to the Marion County Jail, where she was charged with battery, resisting an officer without violence and possession of marijuana not more than 20 grams. She was being held on $3,000 bond.
