Florida Woman Jailed For Allegedly Admitting To Selling Stolen Gun For Drugs

An 18-year-old Florida woman was jailed recently after being accused of stealing a firearm.

Marion County sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence and spoke with the victim, who claimed that 18-year-old Caitlyn Chaffin had taken a firearm from her. Deputies then made contact with Chaffin, who admitted to stealing the weapon and trading it for drugs and money, a sheriff’s office report states.

Chaffin was placed under arrest and transported to the Marion County Jail, where she was charged with grand theft of a firearm and dealing in stolen property. She was released on $4,000 bond, jail records show.
